Interesting pair of vignetted portrait CDV's of an elderly couple mounted onto "raised" ovals. These could very well be photographs of earlier images. Sometimes it's hard to be sure whether children in a photo are siblings, but there's no doubt that these three are. They are spitting images of each other! And how serious they look, posing very stiffly, with the youngest one holding her doll. There's a great backmark, also. "Josiah Knecht, The "Excelsior" Traveling Artist". In clean, near fine condition. $20.00 |
